Strengthening its mission, the festival innovates by bringing forward a yearly “Industry in Focus”. This year we’ll host a delegation and side program from Slovakia, in collaboration with Kino Usmev, Bío Paradís and the Slovak Film Institute. This event will be recorded and streamed live from the Nordic House in Reykjavík.

INCLUSION IN CINEMA
Panel presentation by the hand of Kíno Usmev and Bíó Paradís.
“Finding ways to make films both physically accessible and visibly diverse.”
Inclusion is crucial to allow cultural exploration and encourage empathy towards other people. Adapting films for a more diverse audience where all demographics are represented is important because it increases overall awareness ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected as an individual.
This panel oversees the collaborative work that Kíno Usmev and Bíó Paradís are doing in order to adapt film screenings to special audiences; to the blind, deaf or autistic communities.Following this panel, there will be a special screening at Bíó Paradís of the film 107 MOTHERS by PETER KEREKES 17.00 PM
