The festival draws its name from the\u00a0Vatnsm\u00fdri\u00a0moorland, and each year&#8217;s chosen theme relates to it. Examples include\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cat in the Moorland<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(2001),\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ghosts in the Moorland<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(2008),\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Food in the Moorland<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(2012),\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Peacock in the Moorland<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(2014), and\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Together in the Moorland<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(2021).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:180,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The next festival will be held in September 2027. We are currently looking for a project manager who, in cooperation with the\u00a0M\u00fdrin\u00a0board, will take on the organization and execution of the festival. The\u00a0M\u00fdrin\u00a0festivals feature a diverse program with the participation of the public, authors, and scholars, both domestic and international.
