Visual artist \u00cdris Mar\u00eda Leifsd\u00f3ttir will host a workshop where participants can try painting with glacier clay. She offers clay from Sv\u00ednafellsj\u00f6kull, Brei\u00f0amerkurj\u00f6kull, and S\u00f3lheimaj\u00f6kull, which can be used to paint on watercolour paper. Watercolours will also be used.<\/p>\n

Join a calm, one-hour guided tour of the exhibition with curator \u00c1sthildur J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir; the tour will be held in Icelandic. Together, we explore artworks and scientific research on the Arctic, snow, ice, and glaciers, as well as the changes taking place in these regions due to climate change. The tour is specially adapted for children.<\/p>\n
Children can play and try various activities during the tour, and families are warmly welcome to stay afterwards and take part in additional workshops in the children\u2019s library.<\/p>\n
Inspired by the North<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

The exhibition Inspired by the North<\/i> features textile works, collages, video works, and paintings by students from Landakot School, Melask\u00f3li, and Hagask\u00f3li. The works are all inspired by the exhibition G\u00e1rur: Changes in the Arctic<\/i>, currently on display at the Nordic House. The works have been created under the guidance of artists as well as art and craft teachers from the schools.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will be shown in the foyer by the main entrance and in the children\u2019s library at the Nordic House during the festival days and will be open during the building\u2019s opening hours, 10:00\u201317:00, Tuesday to Sunday.<\/p>\n
