Reading circle at the Nordic House 2026<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

We read books in the three Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish), get together, and discuss these works. The books we are focusing on are works that have won or been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The third meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 15th<\/strong> at 18:00 hours.<\/strong> We will be reading Hunter i Huskvarna <\/i>by Sara Stridsberg. Stridsberg is a Swedish author, translator, and playwright. In 2007, she received the Nordic Council Literature Prize for her novel Dr\u00f6mfakulteten.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

The first meeting took place on Wednesday, February 11th<\/em> at 18:00 hours.<\/em> We read the novel <\/span>Fars\u00a0rygg<\/span><\/i> by Niels Fredrik Dahl, who won the prize in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second meeting took place on Wednesday, March 11th<\/em> at 18:00 hours. <\/em>We read <\/span>Insula<\/span><\/i>, by Thomas Boberg, \u00a0which was nominated for the Literature Prize in 2025. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to novels, we also plan to read poetry, short stories, and other genres throughout this year\u2019s reading circle.<\/p>\n

Upcoming meetings will take place on May 13th and June 10th.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
