The Finnish Association of Design Learning, SuoMu, has a series of events in the Nordic House during the design festival DesignMarch, and this will be a day with special focus on the children.<\/p>\n
For the children there will be a workshop, where they can design and and build their own special places and get familiar with the Mutku-cake, a design process.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For the adults, there will be a picture lecture and discussion about children’s role in home by designer Mari Savio from SuoMu, who is writer of the Maja and Surrur-books, game designer and design learning specialist. She will be talking about the hopes and dreams of the children and how design could answer them. Help us to make the home kid’s dream place to live in.<\/p>\n About SuoMu<\/strong><\/p>\n The Finnish Association of Design Learning\u00a0promotes the use of design education in different teaching platforms, leisure activities, and among the general public. SuoMu works in co-operation with various educational and cultural actors. The design education in both the primary and advanced level highlights the prevalence of design in all its aspects of our everyday life and makes the processes of design itself visible.<\/p>\n SuoMu produces contents, such as design workshops and lectures for schools and different cultural events.
