Julien Nayet-Pelletier is a French-Canadian filmmaker from Treaty 1 Territory. He is the creator of the online series Julien Looks Under Things, <\/i>where he shows bite-sized moments of nature with live commentary. Using clips from his online series, he made full-length documentaries about the regions he has visited. What started as a way to counter the boredom of the COVID pandemic has since brought him around the world, where he met not only new wildlife but also the people working to preserve it.<\/p>\n

Julien Looks Under Things: Under Iceland\u2019s Water <\/i>brings to light the <\/i>mysterious aquatic life of Iceland in collaboration with artists, scientists, science communicators, and activists who live and work in Iceland. From the freshwater of glacier-fed rivers, to the northern Atlantic Ocean, we observe the creatures, big and (extremely) small, that survive in delicate balance with Iceland\u2019s harsh environment. It\u2019s worrying to see climate change and pollution disturb these ecosystems, but there are a lot of solutions, both in art and science, to save these unique worlds.<\/p>\n
