Welcome to this year’s P\u00f8lse&Poesi! <\/strong><\/h4>\n

This year we will have visitors from Sweden and a few poets, who participated in The Nordic House\u00b4s writing course as a warm-up number. As usual, there will be hot dogs, drinks, mingling and readings. The theme is soil\/membrane and is linked to the exhibition in Hvelfing. Everyone is welcome and the readings will be in Icelandic, Swedish and Norwegian.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anna Hallberg<\/span><\/b> was born in 1975 and made her debut in 2001 with the poetry collection <\/span>Friktion. <\/span><\/i>She has won several prizes and been nominated for even more. <\/span>AN<\/span><\/i> is her tenth poetry collection, and it is the third time she has been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize having previously been nominated for the poetry collections <\/span>Colosseum Kolosseum <\/span><\/i>(2010), and <\/span>P\u00e5 era platser <\/span><\/i>(2004). In addition to her lyrical writing, for many years she has been an influential and respected literary critic and lyric debater among the Swedish public.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sigurbj\u00f6rg \u00derastard\u00f3ttir <\/span><\/b>was born in 1973. Her first book, the poetry collection Bl\u00e1logaland, was published in 1999, but she has since published several more poetry collections, plays and prose works. Sigurbj\u00f6rg has received several awards for her work, including the poetry collection <\/span>Blysfarir<\/span><\/i>, which received the Fj\u00f6ruver\u00f0launin in 2008 and was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize. The poetry book <\/span>Br\u00fa\u00f0ur<\/span><\/i>was also nominated for the DV Cultural Award 2010. Sigurbj\u00f6rg’s poems have been translated into numerous languages in connection with literary conferences, poetry festivals and the publication of anthologies across Europe.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

J\u00f6rgen Gassilewski <\/span><\/b>born 1961, is a trained visual artist, but is also active as a poet, novelist, critic, translator and cultural journalist. He debuted with the poetry collection <\/span>Du<\/span><\/i> in 1987. Gassilewski has been nominated for the August Prize and in 2021 he received the Erik Lindegren Prize. In 2011, a collected edition of Gassilewski’s poetry, <\/span>Hittills samlad poesi 1983\u20132009<\/span><\/i>, was published. He has contributed to P1’s Lyrikmagasinet and served on the editorial board of the poetry magazine OEI. He also teaches and holds writing courses.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

S\u00f6lvi Halld\u00f3rsson <\/span><\/b>was born in 1999 and was raised in Akureyri. He holds a BA in Icelandic and Danish from the University of Iceland\u00a0 and a MA in Creative Writing from the same university. S\u00f6lvi published the poetry collection <\/span>\u00deegar vi\u00f0 vorum hellisb\u00faar<\/span><\/i>\u00a0 a couple of years ago. He has written literary reviews for the radio programme V\u00ed\u00f0sj\u00e1 and published poetry in the Pastel series and various anthologies, most recently Munnbita \u00c1starsoguf\u00e9lagins. S\u00f6lvi lives in Reykjav\u00edk and is a member of the poetry collective M\u00daKK.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
