Looking at the world map, one can get the impression that the Arctic consists of a few scattered white dots at the edge of the world; unimportant, uninhabited, unconnected. In reality, the territories and peoples of in the North are connected, both geographically, culturally and politically. They share the same historical and geo-political starting point: They are all part of modern nation states running north to south, with the capital situated in the south. The political power is located in the south, the economical power is located in the south, the power of definition is located in the south.<\/p>\n

The Arctic territories also share one more important experience: Not being able to participate in international arenas like the Olympics, or the Eurovision, under their own flag. All in all, there are dire needs to strengthen the cross-border cooperation and contact between the peoples and territories of the Circumpolar North.<\/p>\n

Pan-ArcticVision<\/em> is a response to this; an initiative with a goal to join together people across the arctic, both indigenous and non-indigenous, to sing together, to built Pan-Arctic identity and community together, to strengthen local empowerment together.<\/p>\n

The Pan-ArcticVision<\/b><\/a> is a response to all of this.<\/p>\n

The Pan-ArcticVision is a Eurovision for the Arctic, an initiative to build community and empowerment in Arctic communities around the globe, to strengthen cross-border contact and dialogue of people who share many of the same living conditions across political divides.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The 2025-edition will have participants from Alaska, Northern Canada (Nunavut), Kalaallit Nunaat\/Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Northern Norway, Northern Sweden, S\u00e1pmi, Northern Finland and Russian Arctic (exiles).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The first ever Pan-ArcticVision took place in Vads\u00f8, Northern Norway, in August 2023, and was streamed live to the world. After an exciting vote, Nuuk in Kalaallit Nunaat<\/b> \/ Greenland was chosen as the next location.\u00a0<\/span>Pan-ArcticVision can now for the second time welcome the circumpolar North to this truly international, border-crossing experience of song, community and empowerment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pan-ArcticVision 2025 will go live and streamed from the Iqaluit Cadet Hall on November 29th in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n
