Dancing Rabbit is a creative character workshop for children in the context of Sequences XII.<\/p>\n

2 PM in the children\u00b4s library – for the youngest, 4 years and younger.\u00a0<\/strong>
\n3 PM in Elissa auditorium – for 5 years and older.
\n<\/strong>
\nLeynir and L\u00e6\u00f0a can\u2019t wait to dance and erode with you! – All welcome!
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The concept derives from Leevi Mettinen and S\u00f3ley \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir\u2019s performance concept and creation for kids, \u2018Kan\u00ednudans\u2019.<\/p>\n

For this workshop Leevi and S\u00f3ley, as the rabbits Leynir and L\u00e6\u00f0a, will guide children, through playing and flowing, in finding their own dancing rabbit. The rabbit characters move through nature\u2019s different time scales and play with the themes of the festival, P\u00e1sa\/Pause, moving in and through imagined elements of nature as well as playing at different speeds as the Rabbits erode.
\n<\/p>\n

Dance artists, Leevi Mettinen, from Finland and S\u00f3ley \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, from Iceland, both graduated from the IUA with BA in Contemporary Dance Practices. Leevi and S\u00f3ley work as freelancers, as dancers and choreographers as well as creating and producing their own works. At the moment they are working as performers for R\u00f3sa \u00d3marsd\u00f3ttir in her creation for Sequences IXX. <\/em>
\nLeevi and S\u00f3ley create dance performances for children by the name Bunny Business, where they build on a successful trajectory from their first creation Kanl\u00ednudans, from 2024. In Bunny Business, Leevi and S\u00f3ley create characters through dance and deal with different ways of behaving, being and thinking as characters search ways to dance together.<\/em><\/p>\n
