Welcome to the first seminar of the series called \u201cArt and Democracy\u201d where we aim to focus on art as an independent force within a democratic society.<\/p>\n

In this seminar, we explore how the rising temperatures and melting glaciers transcends the climate crisis while raising important questions. Who is climate action really for – Are we preserving life, or merely upholding the status quo? If our systems thrive on destruction, how can we envision a different future? Yet, the climate struggle is not just about loss – it embodies resistance, which is driven by communities, artists, and activists who refuse to be silenced.<\/p>\n

In our panel, we\u2019ll feature artists from different disciplines while considering how art can be a transformative force. We invite you to reflect on these ideas as we discuss how art can inspire and drive change in our commitment to addressing the climate crisis.<\/p>\n

Accessibility in Elissa auditorium is good, there is a low threshold into the hall. On the same floor is a toilet with good access and changing facilities. There is a ramp leading to the Nordic House from the parking lot, and an automatic button at the main door.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This event will be held in English. There will be closed captioning available. There will be no strobe lighting or loud noise. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided after the event.<\/em><\/p>\n
