How can we minimize the unfathomable\u00a0amounts\u00a0of waste being produced\u00a0in Iceland\u00a0every day, every year? And how can we take care of the valuable resources we already have available when building new structures?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Danish-Icelandic company Lendager explores these issues\u00a0in\u00a0the exhibition \u201cWasteland Iceland\u201d\u00a0–\u00a0an ambitious\u00a0and though-provoking display of\u00a0solutions and future concepts for how we can work with Icelandic materials with respect for planetary boundaries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Focusing\u00a0on a number of\u00a0society\u2019s dominant resource categories, such as\u00a0glass, concrete, wood, plastic, and metal,\u00a0the exhibition explores\u00a0and addresses the root of the problem. It investigates local\u00a0and regional\u00a0resources and industrial resource flows, highlighting new potentials and innovative ways to reuse and reintegrate the materials into future projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Visitors get a visual and tactile\u00a0experience of\u00a0pioneering\u00a0material\u00a0experiments and innovations, processes\u00a0and learnings from implemented solutions.\u00a0The exhibition is the physical manifestation of more than a decade of experimentation and revolt against the status quo, and\u00a0the goal\u00a0is to inspire dialogue and\u00a0critical discussions about the urgency sustainable revolution\u00a0across industries and institutions.<\/p>\n
