In recent years, both art and academia has interrogated the notion, that an alternative methodology is necessary, to provide a more tangible understanding of the complex issues of the climate- and bio-diversity emergency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<p>On Thursday the 1st of December, The Nordic House invites you to join us for a symposium, where we will explore the role of the visual arts as one such methodology. Together with visual artist and artistic researcher <strong>\u00deorger\u00f0ur \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> (she\/her), curator, editor and project manager at Reykjav\u00edk Art Museum <strong>Becky Elizabeth Forsythe<\/strong> (she\/her), visual artist, artistic researcher and head of the Department of Fine Art at Listah\u00e1sk\u00f3li \u00cdslands <strong>Bjarki Bragason<\/strong> (he\/him), and visual artist <strong>Anna R\u00fan Tryggvad\u00f3ttir<\/strong> (she\/her), we discuss the unique potential that art and artistic approaches pose, as an entry-point for interaction with, and understanding of the natural world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\"><em>ACCESSIBILITY: This event will be held in English. The Auditorium and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.
