The opening of Reykjav\u00edk OPERA DAYS<\/strong>

\n<\/b>Official festival opening will take place at 16:00. The festival makers present their projects and a new song quartet by \u00c1sbj\u00f6rg J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, commissioned by Reykjav\u00edk Opera Days, will be premiered. Light refreshments from S\u00f3n\u00f3 will be on offer, everyone is welcome!<\/h2>\n

The programme includes:<\/p>\n

11:00 – Waves<\/a> – music theatre for children (1-5 years old)<\/p>\n

12:30 – Waves<\/a>– music theatre for children (1-5 years old)<\/p>\n

14:00 – Langspil workshop<\/a> with Eyj\u00f3lfur Eyj\u00f3lfsson<\/p>\n

16:00 – Official opening<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWAVES<\/b><\/p>\n

The sound of water and the sound of the sea is the general theme of this interactive and engaging musical adventure for children at the age of 1-5 years. In the context of Nordic Mythology, the narrator-singer, represented by the composer Svafa \u00fe\u00f3rhallsd\u00f3ttir herself, will guide the children using the story to create interactive and engaging situations that will make the children feel part of a truly mythical adventure, where the music represents a mystical place for them to visit.<\/p>\n

LANGSPIL WORKSHOP<\/b><\/p>\n

During the Langspil workshop, participants learn the basics of playing the langspil with swan feathers and horsehair bows. Well known folks songs from sr.
