Aalto\u00b4s work is designed to the last detail, including the design of the interiors, furniture, lamps and most other things in the buildings in harmony with the buildings themselves, as well as the planning of the surroundings &#8211; with inspiration from nature and landscape each place. The Nordic House is one of a small handful of buildings that Aalto designed outside of his home country and is a small pearl in his carreer. The house, inaugurated 24th August 1968, is one of Aalto\u00b4s last works and characteristic for bringing together elements from his early days as an architect under the banners of the international or white modernism, and the mature, higly personal approach with organic lines of form and space in a site-specific or poetic modernism.
