The artist, illustrator and writer R\u00e1n Flygenring reads in Icelandic from the book <em>Birds<\/em>(Fuglar) that she co-created with Hj\u00f6rleifur Hjartarson. In Norwegian she will read from the book <em>The King of the forest \u2013 everything you need to know about moose<\/em> by Line Halsnes. (Skogens Konge \u2013 alt du trenger \u00e5 vite om elgen). After the reading, R\u00e1n will invite guests to take part in drawing exercises involving birds and elgs that she has specially made for this story hour!<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\nR\u00e1n has a Norwegian and Icelandic root, born in Oslo and grew up in Reykjavik. She works as an independent illustrator and author, sometimes in Reykjav\u00edk and sometimes around the world. She has published nearly 20 books in Iceland and Germany, both independently and in collaboration with other authors and the books have been translated in many different languages. She has also done \u201cfast drawings\u201d during conferences and meetings, used drawing analyzation in strategic planning and equality matters. She is also a painter and has painted murals, stamps, and beer cans. She founded a Puffin hotel \u2013 as an art project, has drawn city planning solutions and directed videos.
