www.riff.is <\/a><\/p>\nReykjav\u00edk International Film Festival (RIFF) takes place every year in September and October for eleven days. The festival shows a wide range of dramas and non-fiction films from over 40 countries. It highlights independent filmmaking from all over the world with an emphasis on up-and-coming filmmakers. RIFF encourages the interaction of film with other art forms by organizing concerts, photo exhibitions and more. The festival also manages the RIFF industry office, complete with a video library, information and guest services, and co-organizes networking meetings and dinners for the attending professionals.<\/p>\n
RIFF was founded in September 2004 by a small group of film professionals and film enthusiasts led by Festival Director Hr\u00f6nn Marin\u00f3sd\u00f3ttir with the goal of presenting new and progressive quality films, supporting innovation in filmmaking, networking between professionals from various parts of the world and fostering social and cultural dialogue.<\/p>\n
The 2015 edition of the festival will take place from the 24th of September until the 4th of October.<\/p>\n

RIFF is glad to collaborate with The One Minutes. The One Minutes started in 1998 as an experiment at Sandberg Instituut and grew into a worldwide platform with an archive containing over 10.000 films from makers of over 120 different nationalities. The One Minutes publishes a series of One Minute films every month, inviting a guest artist to conceive and curate a series. In 2002, The One Minutes Jr. was initiated.
