At Home in The World<\/h2>\n

IDFA AWARD-WINNER 2015 \u2018AT HOME IN THE WORLD\u2019 is an intimate depiction of the everyday lives of five refugee children on a Danish Red Cross asylum school.<\/p>\n

The children; Magomed, Sehmuz, Heda, Amel and Ali have different nationalities and backgrounds, but they have all fled their homes with their families, arriving in Denmark with the hope of starting over.<\/p>\n

For the last eight years in a row, Koefoed\u2019s films have been selected for the biggest documentary film festival in the world; IDFA in Amsterdam, where his films have been nominated for awards four times.<\/p>\n

A panel debate<\/strong> will follow the screening of the movie. Ing\u00f3lfur Bjarni Sigf\u00fasson, journalist from R\u00daV, will discuss the movie and its subject with Postdoc. researcher Anh Dao Katr\u00edn Tran, Kristr\u00fan Sigurj\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, from L\u00e6kjarsk\u00f3li public school in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and one representative from Red Cross Iceland.<\/p>\n

Nordic Film Festival<\/h3>\n

The Nordic Film Festival is a yearly event, and this is the fourth edition at the Nordic House in Reykjavik. The festival runs the period 13th \u2013 20th April 2016 and we screen selected Nordic films in all genres, with English subtitles.\u00a0 The Nordic Film Festival is a collaboration between the Nordic House, Embassy of Denmark, Finnish Embassy, Norwegian Embassy and Embassy of Sweden in Reykjavik, Iceland. Local partners are Aalto Bistro and Bio Paradis.<\/p>\n
