Earlier this year, a survey was conducted in which 2,200 young people in the Nordic <\/span>region<\/span> expressed <\/span>what they think is most important to do to protect biodiversity. The results have been <\/span>categori<\/span>z<\/span>ed<\/span> into 19 <\/span>demands <\/span>and have been made public and handed over to<\/span> Nordic ministers for <\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>environment and climate<\/span> issues. <\/span>These demands should benefit\u00a0<\/span>representatives of\u00a0<\/span>government<\/span>s<\/span> who will sit at the negotiating table in the coming months <\/span>in order to reach a new global deal on<\/span>\u00a0biodiversity.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the opening of <\/span>Fundur<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>f\u00f3lksins<\/span>, S\u00e6unn J\u00fal\u00eda <\/strong><\/span>Sigurj\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir<\/span><\/strong>, nature conservation officer<\/span> of Young Environmentalists (<\/span>Ungir<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>umhverfissinnar<\/span>)<\/span>, will shed light on demands of <\/span>Nordic youth to save biodiversity.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
