\n<\/strong>12:00-13:00<\/strong> Storyhour in the auditorium for children and their families (Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, and Faroese).
\n13:00-16:00 <\/strong>Art workshop
\n13:00-15:00<\/strong> Facepaint for children
\n14:00-15:00<\/strong> Magic show with J\u00f3n V\u00ed\u00f0is
\n15:00-16:00<\/strong> Picnic Concert in the greenhouse with El\u00edn Harpa
\n16:00-17:00<\/strong> Magic show with J\u00f3n V\u00ed\u00f0is<\/p>\n

From 12 o clock, we will serve a birthday cake, coffee and juice.\u00a0 At the library, you can enjoy a small exhibition presenting images, letters and more from 50 years of the library’s service. All guest (living in Iceland) can geta a new or renew their library card free of charge. In front of the house, we will have to bouncy castles (if weather permits). The workshop will be held in the Children’s library. Guest are welcome to share a drawing with The Nordic House and be included in a 50-year anniversary collage, which we will exhibit at the library until 23rd of September (The West Nordic day).<\/p>\n

El\u00edn Harpa – Picnic Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

El\u00edn Harpa is an Icelandic musician and singer who recently released her first single, R\u00fan, and she plans to release an EP later this year. Despite her young age, El\u00edn has long worked in music, and she started her career after taking part in The Voice Iceland. In recent years, El\u00edn Harpa has worked with the Icelandic band Bang Gang and toured Asia with them. Her music can be categorized as a kind of electropop, where an experimental sound world is mixed with gripping melodies.<\/p>\n

The magician J\u00f3n V\u00ed\u00f0is Jakobsson<\/strong><\/p>\n

J\u00f3n V\u00ed\u00f0is Jakobsson has worked as a magician for nearly a lifetime. Come by and see him perform his magic show during his two performances in the great hall.<\/p>\n

Face painting by Ingunn \u00deorkelsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong><\/p>\n

From 13:00 until 15:00 the visiting children will get an opportunity to be decorated with face paint, from the artist Ingunn \u00deorkelsd\u00f3ttir. Ingunn and her co-workers only use materials from recognized brands, such as Snazaroo, Grimas, Paradise, Wolf Brothers and so on.<\/p>\n

At 12:00 we will read the children\u2019s book. \u201cNei! sag\u00f0i litla skr\u00edmsli\u00f0\u201d. This publication is part of a nordic collaboration work between three Nordic authors: \u00c1slaugar J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttur, Kalle G\u00fcettler og Rakel Helmsdal. We read the book first in Icelandic, and then in Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish and Faroese.<\/p>\n
