The collective merges together nature-inspired concepts, applying natural fibre material and a method of layering. They display innovative experimentation between material and construction, using knitting and papermaking technique.<\/p>\n

Layers of Fibres is a collaboration between the designers B\u00e1ra Finnsd\u00f3ttir(IS) and Dominyka Sidabraite(LT), exhibiting a selection of their separate bachelor\/master projects in textile and surface design from Berlin Weissensee School of Art.
\nThe collective merges together nature-inspired concepts, applying natural fibre material and a method of layering. They display innovative experimentation between material and construction, using knitting and papermaking technique.
\nWith their projects, they offer an interesting and a rare glance into design and material research that are, or have the chance of, being developed further. The exhibition is composed of experiments, samples and larger scale surfaces, that demonstrate multilayered alternatives for production and usage of natural fibre materials in a sustainable, technical, and creative context.<\/p>\n
