Sometimes less is so much more, and in the case of Sumie\u2019s musical path, her voice and her acoustic guitar casts the most hypnotic and disarmingly simple spell. Sumie began writing songs in 2008 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and released her self-titled critically acclaimed debut album SUMIE early December 2013. The album was recorded with the German pianist and producer Nils Frahm, with the company of producer and fellow pianist Dustin O’Halloran. Sumie’s folky tunes manage to transcend themselves somehow, leaving the listener in a state of calm bliss.<\/p>\n

The Nordic<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0House Concert Series<\/strong> made a success last summer when it had its\u00a0<\/span><\/span>premiere. Now the series is<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>back this year again with an impressive<\/span><\/span>\u00a0line-up! The enchanting Sumie from Sweden and the introverted romantic Thomas\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Dybdahl<\/span><\/span>\u00a0from Norway will visit us this year. In addition, some of Iceland’s most famous and talented musicians are featured.
