Five new video artworks and a documentary by Nordic artists will be screened at the Nordic House’s main hall on the 4th of May at 19.00. Artists behind the video artworks are\u00a0Aleksi Pietik\u00e4inen, Birkir Sigur\u00f0sson, David Viborg Jensen, Hugo Karlsson <\/strong>and\u00a0Niko Liikanen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A documentary about the production of the video works will follow (author Marianne Schmidt).<\/p>\n Ragnhei\u00f0ur Ma\u00eds\u00f3l Sturlud\u00f3ttir<\/strong>, director of Art Without Borders (List \u00e1n landm\u00e6ra), will present the artists and answer questions from the audience.<\/p>\n Out by Art<\/strong> is a project launched in September 2017. All the artists are working in studios affiliated to the Nordic Outsider Art (NOA) network. NOA started in 2015 and now has five member organisations in four countries. The purpose of the NOA platform is to strengthen the links between various participants in the field of outsider art in the Nordic region. By exploring new approaches, NOA wants to help make a difference both for individual artistic development and for the development of Nordic outsider art.<\/p>\n Project manager: Sven Blume In the end of April this year, the short movies were screened at Moderna Museet in Stockholm. They will also be screened in the UK at the annual conference of EOA, European Outsider Art Association, on the 6th of May.<\/p>\n Featuring artists:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Nordic House has easy wheelchair access as well as a spacious parking lot.\u00a0Restrooms are on the same floor as the main hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n Out by Art presents six short movies by six Nordic artists.
