Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We all love food. As a society, we devour countless cooking shows, culinary magazines and foodie blogs. So how could we possibly be throwing nearly half of the world’s food produces it in the trash?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the Environmental Festival on 7th-8th April, The Nordic House is screening an award-winning documentary Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story by Grant Baldwin (CA).<\/p>\n

The movie is going to be screened two times, the 6th and the 8th of April at 6pm. Entrance to both screenings is free of charge<\/span>. No registration is needed. Everybody is welcome as long there are seats available. English language<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

About the movie:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of food waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. What they find is truly shocking.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The director Grant Baldwin received the Emerging Canadian Filmmaker award at Hot Docs (CA). Among many other recognitions in various film festivals, the movie was awarded Best Canadian Documentary at Edinburgh International Film Festival. Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story had its Nordic premiere in CPH:DOX.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
