Are you a girl, 16 years or older, and do you want to write music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then this workshop is for you! No matter if you have just started writing music, or you are a experienced composer, you are welcome! Get new ideas and tools on how music can be written and thought, and try it out in practice in this workshop, which ends with a joint concert and talk.<\/p>\n

Rune Rebne<\/strong> (NO) who teaches in composition at the Norwegian Academy of Music is in charge of the workshop. Usually boys dominate the music industry, but Rune wants to create a safe environment where there\u2019s room for the girls\u2019 works and ideas. \u201cIf girls meet in inspiring, stimulating and safe surroundings, positive things happen!\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n

The workshop has been held several times, and we are happy it\u2019s finally coming to Iceland.<\/p>\n

The workshop is in the Nordic House and will be held in English.<\/p>\n

The workshop is connected to the project \u201cNordlyd<\/a>\u201d, who are holding a concert June 1st<\/sup> at 20:00 in the Nordic House. The concert is for free and open for all.<\/p>\n
