Their music is indie-inspired, soft and melodic with haunting lyrics. RuGl was founded in early 2016 by two 14-year-old girls who are schoolfriends in the west of Reykjav\u00edk. Ragnhei\u00f0ur Mar\u00eda Benediktsd\u00f3ttir plays piano and percussion and Gu\u00f0laug Fr\u00ed\u00f0a Helgad\u00f3ttir sings and plays guitar.
