The ensemble Hl\u00f6kk is a collaboration between Ingibj\u00f6rg \u00ddr Skarph\u00e9\u00f0insd\u00f3ttir, Lilja Mar\u00eda \u00c1smundsd\u00f3ttir and Ragnhei\u00f0ur Erla Bj\u00f6rnsd\u00f3ttir. The group will perform new pieces for the sound and light sculpture Hulda where music, visual arts and creative writing merge. Hulda is a string harp that produces both sound and light. During performances Hulda\u2019s surroundings are filled with sounds, patterns and colours that constantly change.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ingibj\u00f6rg \u00ddr Skarph\u00e9\u00f0insd\u00f3ttir, Lilja Mar\u00eda \u00c1smundsd\u00f3ttir and Ragnhei\u00f0ur Erla Bj\u00f6rnsd\u00f3ttir met during their studies at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. They formed the ensemble Hl\u00f6kk in the year 2015 and started out by performing Icelandic folk songs, improvisations and their own compositions along with old poetry. Now the ensemble has developed into the art collective Hl\u00f6kk where they use different types of art forms, mainly music, visual arts and creative writing, to create new compositions.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
