How did his influence manifest itself in French music and why was this influence so disputed? Some answers will be sought to these and other questions and examples of French Wagnerism considered. After the presentation, one of France\u2019s most Wagnerian operas, <em>Ariane et Barbe-bleu<\/em> by Paul Dukas, will be screened.<\/p>\n<p>Egill Arnarson has a M.A. in philosophy, history and Latin from the University in Kiel.
