Faculty Concert – Harpa International Music Academy

Teachers of the Harpa International Music Academy will perform at the Auditorium of the Nordic House on the 10th of July at 8pm. Entrance to the concert is free of charge. Everyone is welcome!

The faculty of the Harpa International Music Academy consists of music professors at respected music conservatories, many of whom are also renowned performers and sectional leaders in orchestras. In this concert they will share their artistry in a varied program of solo and chamber music works.

The program consists of the following works:

Beethoven: Spring Sonata

Kaare Dyvik Husby: Mechanic breath

Jórunn Viðar: Variations on an Icelandic folksong for cello and piano

Bottesini: Concerto in b-minor for double bass

Schumann: Märchenbilder for viola and piano

Rachmaninoff: Vocalise for violin and piano

Fuchs: Serenaða Op.62 No.1 for 2 violins and viola

Francaix: Divertissement for bassoon and string quintet
