CONCERTS

CONCERTS with young Icelandic musicians 2 PM – 3:30 PM

RuGl reached the final round of the Icelandic Battle of the Bands in 2016, where the band received favourable reviews for their compositions and vocal arrangements. Their music is indie-inspired, soft and melodic with haunting lyrics. RuGl was founded in early 2016 by two 14-year-old girls who are school friends in the west of Reykjavík.

GRÓA consist of three young girls, Fríða Björg Pétursdóttir, Hrafnhildur Einarsdóttir and Karolina Einarsdóttir. Their music is “well-exposed and well-orchestrated” as one critic phrased it; Its vocals and sound enticing.

Floni, a twenty-year-old rapper from Reykjavik has topped the Icelandic Spotify Playlist, thereby entering the hip-hop scene with a blast. “There’s a way younger scene coming up now in Iceland. The hip-hop scene has grown so much.”
Be prepared; Floni is known for his powerful live performances and a charming attitude.

CONCERTS  with internationally recognised musicians 7 PM – 12 PM

For the evening we have invited international musicians from Greenland and Norway to play on our big stage in the garden. Warming up for our guests is the Icelandic electronic musician SEINT.

Nanook from Greenland plays soft rock/indie pop and is led by a duo of talented brothers. The band which has an acoustic-driven sound will first be performing an acoustic concert on the wooden bridge around 4 PM. In the evening around 7 PM, they join us on the big stage in front of the house, giving guests the full version of their Greenlandic energy, singing in their native language, only spoken by 56.000 people in the world.

Miss Tati is born in Portugal with parents from Angola, this songstress grew up in the sunny city of Setúbal before moving to the rainy city of Bergen in Norway. Tricultural Miss Tati makes her own path. Inspired by Hip Hop and R&B she cooks up her very own recipe, spicing up festival lineups in Norway.

SEINT is an electronic-based act from Reykjavík/Iceland formed by Joseph Cosmo. Inspired by an amalgam of sounds such as Kanye West’s production to the moodier ends of Massive Attack. ‘’Dark & dreamy at the same time this world of sound offers melancholic vocals works, deep 808’s and synthy melodies to define the feeling of this experience.
